Community of practice : protection of natural environments (CPMN)

To 4 Quebec corners, from hundreds of citizen groups and environmental organizations fight for the protection of natural environments. These struggles rub shoulders with Aboriginal communities, land and waters, For the protection of the territory.
The CPMN was born out of a need to create a friendly space to make knowledge sharing more effective, resources, experiences, innovative ideas and concerted actions useful to its participants, with the aim of increasing cohesion in citizen actions throughout Quebec.

The launch of the practice community – Protection of natural environments (CPMN) of 8 October 2024 was an incredible success. 75 people, from many groups and organizations everywhere in Quebec have indeed participated in this launch.
The purpose of this project is to unite militant forces in order to create space to make resources more effective, experiences, innovative ideas and concerted actions in order to create more cohesion in citizen actions throughout Quebec.

Comme vous le savez, le MARE travaille fort depuis maintenant de nombreux mois en collaboration avec laGolf Courses in Transition Coalition, The Friends of the Boisés de Granby, Mothers at the front – Haut-Richelieu et leurs allié.e.s, Friends of the Boisé Neilson, Mothers at the front, theQuebec Tomorrow Network (Fondation David Suzuki) andNature Quebec afin d’unir les forces qui luttent pour la protection des milieux naturels autour d’un projet de communauté de pratique.
La 2e rencontre avait lieu le 18 December 2024 et on peut parler, once again, d’un grand succès puisque 67 personnes étaient présentes ! Ça nous montre que la Communauté de pratique répond à un besoin important.
