The 18 December 2020 at noon, the municipality of Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac (SMSLL) began its holiday break. THE DAY AFTER, GBD Construction began clearcutting without a permit from the municipality! She will be back on 23 December to destroy most of the wooded area, one of the last in the municipality…

For almost two years, the Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac eco-citizen group (RECSMSLL) fights to protect this beautiful urban woodland, containing a wetland, in the very heart of the city center!

MARE unreservedly supports RECSMSLL, one of the groups helping us build our Network for the Protection of Natural Environments.
